Grade 8 Retreat 2026-2027

The 2026-2027 Grade 8 Retreat is planned for Tuesday, September 22 and 23, 2026.

Our goals of the retreat include:

Contribute to a strong sense of belonging to the school community through shared experiences with peers, student leaders, and Handsworth Staff.
Build connections with peers and our student leaders to support the transition to high school.
Set the tone for a positive and inclusive start to students’ secondary school journey.
Connect Grade 8 students with experiential and land-based learning at Cheakamus.
